Hi, I’m Erin.

I was diagnosed with ADHD and CPTSD in my early 40s, and have been helping writers diagnosed with ADHD since I began working as a book coach in 2020. I am intimately familiar with the shame cycle and self-sabotage patterns unique to these diagnoses, and how they interfere with the creative process — producing what I call creative despair.

As a survivor of abuse, I also have hard-earned knowledge of imbalanced power dynamics and a deep commitment to upending them at every level — especially in the world of publishing.

I’m a writer, editor, book coach, parent — and only slightly less awkward and weird now than I was at age four, when I felt like LeVar Burton on Reading Rainbow was the only other person in the world who understood how I felt about books, and when I first began writing books of my own.

In my work with writers, I create tools and strategies, unique to each individual, that interrupt shame cycles and self-sabotage, helping writers overcome creative despair so they can finish and publish their work.

I became a Certified Book Coach through Author Accelerator in 2020, and from 2022-2025, I worked with Jennie Nash and the rest of the Author Accelerator team, evaluating our coaching students’ work to determine if they’d met the criteria for certification.

In 2025, I was invited to join Divine Feminine Publishing as an Acquisitions Editor, after working with Dr. Janina Scarlet on multiple book projects, including her debut YA novel, Through Bullets and Thunderstorms.

My writing credits include several works of short fiction published in a variety of journals and anthologies, including including in Cicada Magazine (as Erin Michelle Jendras, July/August 2015) and the Not Your Average Monster Anthology, Vol. 2 (as Erin Michelle Jendras, Bloodshot Books, February 2016). My short story, “What the Tide Brings,” is forthcoming in 2026, appearing in an anthology published by Twenty Bellows Press. I’m currently working on a novel that explores the narcissistic cycle of abuse through the frame of speculative fantasy.

I also bring a master’s degree in education, a lifetime love of books, and over 20 years of experience as a writer, teacher, and mentor to my coaching practice.

As an Author Accelerator certified book coach, I am qualified to coach writers using Author Accelerator's strategy, methods, and materials, but I operate independently of Author Accelerator and am not affiliated with them.
